A modern wedding renewal announcement created with heartfelt wishes.

Home Gig created these custom wedding/vow renewal invitations for Lorraine and Adam Filomeno in celebration of their 20 year Wedding Anniversary and Vow Renewal Ceremony.

Since the theme was simple - “Let’s Celebrate Marriage” Home Gig had carte blanche to create a custom invitation package for this blissful couple. Using the bride’s ‘happy” colors, purple and fuchsia,  we created a custom monogram for the invite which is adored with flowers and embellishments. Each invitation is inserted into a handmade fabric envelope with matching purple liners and wrapped with a purple chiffon belly band.

Additional suite items for the event included  ~ ceremony programs - seating charts - table numbers - place cards and menus

Home Gig created these custom wedding invitations using teal blue and gold damask accents on vibrant teal fine paper and on thick card stock. Each card was stamped and hand painted with gold embossing powder. Incorporating the couples symbol of love for one another, the penguins, which represent commitment of marriage, family and the necessity to stick together, make their cameo on the RSVP cards. To add an extra POP, Home Gig included gold lace liners to contain the individual elements.

Did you know that penguins mate for life, huddle in large masses (stick together through sickness health and adverse weather) and abstain from eating during courtship, mating, nesting, and the pregnancy? After the baby is born the penguins share all responsibilities for the new baby.

Its enough to make Home Gig want to melt.

Moss is Boss ~ the wonders of nature’s blanket!

Many things take place in spring. In nature, flowers start to bloom, and ice starts to melt. In the animal world, new life arrives. The weather starts to get warmer.

Spring is a symbol of rebirth and green is the color of the season we plan on seeing more of it this month. Now that the snow has cleared, we notice that velvet textured, deep green covering of moss that has been lying beneath winter’s ice and snow.

Home Gig loves all things moss – color, texture, earthy fragrance and the way it feels under our toes ~ we plan on using it whenever we can!

Fashion on the fields with Home Gig

The first Saturday in May is one of Home Gig's favorite traditions – watching The Kentucky Derby. We love everything about it – the horses, the hats, the people, the fashion, the mint juleps, the roses, the action, the stories behind the horses and the jockeys. Home Gig will be cheering on the races and celebrating the Sport of Kings and thoroughbred racing this Saturday!

At this year's Kentucky Derby, Boston has a horse in the race : Wicked Strong, named in the wake of the Marathon bombing, will donate 1 percent of his winnings to The One Fund:  #BostonStrong

Spring is in the Air at Home Gig→

Today we can officially bid farewell to the winter blues and welcome, warmly, the arrival of spring! It might still be cold, but the evenings are longer and Home Gig is optimistic that spring is in the air ~

 At Home Gig spring is about getting back outdoors, taking weekend mini-breaks and planning for our summer photo shoots, installations and special events. The fact that the weather is warming means that we'll soon be able to actually wear our favorite spring trends rather than lusting after them in our closets ~ pastel rain boots, sorbet colored jeans and bright colored corduroys are what we are excited about.

This month, together with the warmer temps and extra sunlight, Home Gig is inspired by seeing the fruits of our labors grace the pages of  Architectural Record ~ we hope you will be inspired too!

Architectural Record and Home Gig at Duin Huis in Aquinnah

At Home Gig we understand the value of great photography, we feel this investment goes a long way in your marketing mix. Whether for your portfolio and web content, advertisement, competition submissions, editorial matter, or marketing collateral; with good photography comes the opportunity to build your brand.  

Having worked with some of the best architectural and design photographers in the business, we are experts at strategizing, forecasting, directing and investing in photography. Indeed, there are a lot of moving parts, and obstacles that get in the way, but when planned and organized properly, the results of a good photo shoot will leave you armed with one of your best marketing assets.

When it came to photographing Duin Huis in Aquinnah we were fortunate to work together with architectural photographer Brian Vanden Brink on this two-day shoot. The team experimented with animated objects to suggest lifestyle elements and to expand marketing possibilities and editorial reach.  Lauren and Eivar were on hand to model, stage and style this jewel of a home. As a result, the editors approved, and we were delighted to learn that Architectural Record featured Duin Huis in Aquinnah in their winter 2014 online issue.

From scouting, documenting, information gathering and writing to scripting, styling and staging the shots, this photo shoot was a successful endeavor and allowed us to produce an eye-catching submission, earning the recognition this project deserves. Check out some of Home Gig’s behind the scene photos:
